My name is Brian Staks, aka BStaks. Born in El Paso, TX, I've been around music my whole life. Growing up in my grandmas crib, my uncles would have band practice in my grandmas patio home. They used to go at it all night. That shit went on for years and I lived with my grandma back in the day so I was always around it. My grandmother was also a well known singer throughout Mexico back in her day, so I guess it's in my genes. My dad would also jam out to his records like Oran Juice Jones, Midnight Star, and shit like that in the crib crazy loud when I was growing up. I remember when he bought me my first record when I was four years old. It was the soundtrack to "Breakin" the movie.
I'm all over the map when it comes to my music. I spit on beats that I feel so if they toss me a raggae beat, hip hop beat, rock beat and im feelin it, chances are I'm gonna rock it. I can't stick to one style; I gotta stay versatile, hence the title to my new album "Lokoe Music". I've been influenced by Nas, Scarface, UGK, Wu tang, mobb deep, 2pac, Notorious BIG. Cypress Hill, ZRO, SPM, Big L, Vicente Fernandez, Los Tigeres del Norte, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, George Clinton. I can go on forever. Music is my medicine.
I've collabed with artists all over the nation in the underground circuit including collabs with the homies from the mother land Mexico. Clika one, chingo bling, ICE of four corner Hustluz, Zig Zag of the NB Rydaz,Yung Wax, RocaDolla, Bookie Loc, Chillee Powdah, Rob G outta Houston, and Willy Northpole just to name a few. I've dropped projects like Sol Camp Mixtape Vol.1, Sol Camp Mixtape Vol.2 The Future Now, Sol Camp mixtape 2.5, Sol Camp ES OH EL The Alum, Rhyme Mode, Mav Vs. BStaks Sol Champs round 1, Call Me Jefe, My world the mixtape. You never know where I'll show up next.
